Developer Teams Up with Alderman Brendan Reilly to Offer Access to New Outdoor Space

CHICAGO – July 12, 2017 – In their efforts to contribute world-class buildings and creative spaces to Chicago, Magellan Development Group and MAC Management will host a ribbon-cutting event with 42^nd Ward Alderman Brendan Reilly at Exhibit on Superior to unveil a new artistic outdoor oasis that brings 8,400 sq. ft. of needed green space to the vibrant River North neighborhood. Exhibit on Superior is a smart-living luxury residential tower built by Magellan Development Group and MAC Management.

Located on the west exterior of Exhibit on Superior, the green space accentuates the unique artistic aesthetic of the building’s interior with the addition of “Turning Triangle” –a unique sculpture designed by leading Swedish Artist Pål Svensson. The piece features a triangle-shaped monolith that spirals in the middle, carved from a single boulder of Swedish diabase granite, adding to Svensson’s extensive list of 40 public commissions.

“In such a dense and popular part of the city, green spaces are often challenging to find especially when land development is often the first request,” said Alderman Reilly. “One of my priorities in the 42nd Ward is to create new open spaces by collaborating with conscientious corporate citizens, like Magellan and MAC, that share a similar commitment to achieving this goal.”

The opening of the urban green space coincides with the grand opening of Left Coast Food & Juice adjacent to the lobby of Exhibit on Superior. The chef-driven eatery incorporates seamlessly into Exhibit on Superior’s tailormade vibe, offering residents and neighbors nutritious, on-the-go dining options made with fresh, responsibly sourced ingredients. Featuring enticing greens, grains and wraps crafted by culinary virtuoso and Blackbird alumni Chef Paul Kahan, the menu’s elevated approach to “health food” appeals to health-conscious eaters and discerning foodies alike.
