Senior Project Manager
Kara Pellaton is a Senior Project Manager for Magellan Development Group LLC. She joined Magellan in 2002 working specifically on the Lakeshore East development project. Her initial responsibilities included management of the environmental remediation and the construction of the site infrastructure utilities, roadways and park. She then transitioned into construction oversight of some of Magellan’s many residential projects. Her responsibilities include: coordination with design team, owner’s consultants, government agencies and all aspects of the project as it relates to construction, from pre-construction through the close out of the project. She also acts as Magellan’s liaison for environmental concerns across their portfolio. She strives to address the unique challenges of each project to ensure the standards and goals are met.
Prior to joining Magellan, Kara worked in several facets of the construction industry. As a construction project manager for URS she worked on notable projects that included Millennium Park, Chicago, IL and the Sandra Day O’Connor Courthouse, Phoenix, AZ. Prior to that she was a project manager for General Services Administration, managing projects throughout the Midwest Region 5. She started her career working for a general contractor. Kara has a Bachelor of Science from Marquette University in Civil Engineering.
